A post for those on the IC ( well the ladies anyway)

Some of us on the IC have been struggling a bit with staying cheery and motivated. I had my whiny / feeling sorry for myself day and then I gave myself a good talking to and loads of you gave me lots of advice and sympathy and I pulled myself together. And decided to be optimistic and look forward. It is NOT the end of the world ( although it felt like for it for a while). So today I thought while you are lying about give yourself a pedicure and new nail polish.

Well, not easy to do when you are struggling to reach your feet due to a large tabby, who has been glued to me since my accident, but I managed to do my toenails in one of my holographic polishes today. I decided just because I have to wear that ugly boot my other foot could still be glamorous. My daughter would tell me off for the awful job I did of painting them but I love the colour.

Most of the men on here will now stop reading I’m sure ( but for them it’s polish like flip paint in cars). This one in particular always cheers me up. It is a sort of pearly pinky gold but when you bend your foot forward it turns to green.

When my daughter first bought it for me I would sit for ages bending my toes this way and that to catch the colours.

Anyway I am nearly halfway through my boot sentence and I’m determined to make the most of it. I’m not going to sit and whinge ...I am going to use the time to chill, make my running playlists ready for when I AM fit again and also use some of the 52 bottles of nail polish I accumulated whilst my daughter was doing nails.

I had to break off then and go and look out of the window and yes!!! It is raining gently. Hopefully this will freshen it up a bit ( and save me watering my garden) .

Hope you are all enjoying your running and I’m with you all in spirit.

Pics are of poorly foot showing the pinky colour, Mimi ( Miriam) looking after me, other foot trying to show the gold colour, couldn’t get my foot at right angle to show the green

Yeah few more weeks after the boot comes off but I’m doing free weights on upper body and core strengthening too so I’ll be fit to run once I get the nod

Great update Lou and looking good! The downside of running is our poor feet get little TLC and just chipped toe nails! Not a great look in this weather and flip flops! 😂

Always at least one of them, usually that one , the other one is a bit more standoffish.

Very pretty! Enjoy the kitty cuddles 😊

Lovely positive post limberlou. I bet your cats are enjoying you time on the couch. At least you can watch Wimbledon without guilt. 🎾

Oooh id forgotten about Wimbledon with everyone blathering on about football.😁

Im currently lying on sunlounger, under gazebo in the shade, foot up, eating raspberries and drinking iced pink elderflower cordial and lemonade. Ahhhhhh

Sounds like heaven to me, although I know that you would rather be running.
