It's my first 10k race on Sunday and I've been a bit lost this week on what running to do. I did a 5k yesterday and am planning on doing another one on Friday morning before work.
What do you guys normally do? Do you have any pre-10k race tips?
Thanks!

hi. yeah ive been doing 8 week improver plans before the race and the week before the big day are generally shorter relaxed/recovery paced runs to avoide injury. rest up the day before ☺
That sounds good and what I normally do. In the past I've left two full rest days before race day but tbh leaving only one day doesn't seem to make any difference.
In the week leading up to the race I usually do lots of stretching and foam rolling, eat well, drinks lots of water and try to get a couple of early nights. It's especially important to drink lots of water the day before and be careful what you eat the night before (nothing "new" or too spicy 😮).
Don't worry if you don't sleep well the night before, many people don't but if you've slept well in the nights leading up to it, it's fine. Your adrenaline will give you the energy of a Duracell bunny 🏃🏃🏃
Apart from all that, allow plenty of time to get there on the day as you don't want to turn up stressed, don't start off too fast, pace yourself, and just enjoy the whole thing! Whoop whoop 🤗🤗
Remember it's fun! Good luck.
Ps take safety pins just in case the organiser doesn't provide them or they run out!
