Hi all. Well today I decided to change my running time and I chose to run at lunch time. The weather was beautiful, sunny, bright and quite warm.☀️
I stayed close to home so I didn’t run far. Because it was windy, the smoke that was billowing from a bonfire that I,passed blew the smoke right into my face.😷So after coughing, spluttering I carried on my merry way.
What a beautiful day. Hard to believe it’s october.
Anyway I’m coming along well with my running and enjoying it. I’m looking forward to retiring next year when I’ll be able to run more.😀😀
Yes wasn’t it a wonderful day today Peggy? I was out this morning around 9.15 and it was pretty warm even then. Even cracked out the shades again! 😎 🏃♀️
Well done peggy59 , it certainly was a great running day and I felt quite envious when UpTheStanley joined me at a cafe looking very hot and sweaty 😓 after his 10k.
The weather is actually quite often lovely during this week of October as we are usually on a little break somewhere for my birthday. Or maybe we are just lucky where we choose to go.
You will just love it when you are retired and can choose where and when you want to run. Not long now......
🏃♀️👏
Thanks Dexy! Yes it has been a beautiful day! I hope your having a great birthday and if you haven’t had your birthday yet.... happy birthday on your special day🎂
Oh I’m really excited about my retirement it will be grand. Hubby is already retired so it will be lovely to be together along with our beautiful black labs.😁😁 and do what we want whenever we want. Me running!🏃♀️hubby cycling!🚴♂️ Happy days!...........
Lovely run Hidden , apart from the smoke obvs 😬!! It was a beautiful day today yes, I might get out tomorrow eve after a predicted lovely day again...happy running to you too
It was beautiful today! We arrived back from Costa Rica this morning and couldn't believe it! I was tempted to go for a run this afternoon but feeling a bit tired with jet lag so went for a walk instead.
I retire next year as well and am looking forward to it!
Hope you had a great holiday! Whow we’ll be retiring the same year. We should have a virtual retirement party with a run to celebrate!🏃♀️🏃♀️
Yes it will be great..... can’t wait!🤪🤪
Hope your well joy x❤️
Good run Maggie. It was glorious for my run today too. As for the smoke, i've done a lot of outdoor ritual, being a Druid and all that, and the smoke from the fire never fails to find me, no matter where I stand. If I move round to escape it, it follows me! xxx

Ha! ha! I know what you mean.
Anyway tomorrow I’m going to run a different route. I’m going to run to find the farm where a horse called Bruce is still hopefully there. A few years ago when we had one of our really bad winters, much like last year and March
Bruce was found freezing in the field down our lane by hubby. He was so bad he had icicles on his whiskers and his mane. So hubby got in touch with a rescue centre for horses and Bruce was then quickly rescued and taken to the farm in a village which is about half an hour from us if that.
We did go and see Bruce after he was rescued and he was so pleased to see us especially Christopher and he looked so healthy and warm with plenty of food. Apparently he had been left in the field by travellers and they never returned to look after him.
So it will be good to find a new route and also perhaps see Bruce if he’s still there so fingers crossed.
Anyway will let you know how I get on.
Pleased you had a good run❤️Xxx
You should posts some pics if you find him. I expect they left him because he was no use to them. Our lurcher was a traveller dog and they abandon them in the road if they are no good for coursing. She was 5 months old, starving and full of fleas and mange when she was rescued. How lovely that you and your husband found him and got him to safety. Have a great run xxx

Yes that’s the conclusion that we made too.Your lurcher has found their forever home with you Flick I’m sure. It’s good to know that there are people who care.😀😀❤️Xx
Thanks Flick. Yes I will take some photos, but as my phone is not a smart phone I don’t know if I’ll be able to post them. It’s a new Nokia, the retro one that came out last year. So I’ll try.Xxx

You must be able to get the photos from the phone to your computer and upload from there?
• in reply to
Yes I think I can. Have tried a few times but I think I’m doing something not right.🤗🤗❤️

if you USB your phone onto the computer, does it show up as another hard drive? If so, you can double click and locate the phots and drag them onto the computer. Or use bluetooth. Google how to transfer pics from your model of phone. xxx

Yes I’ve got blue tooth on me phone so I’ll have to try that again. Such technical stuff.🤣🤣🤣 Blimey I know the ins and outs of an anaesthetic machine, know how to use it !.........which is a good job👍
But phones well I’m hopeless sometimes🤣🤣🤣🤣
Running 🏃♀️tomorrow instead as we have visitors so don’t like to be rude❤️Xx

Thanks Flick ! I’ll keep you posted on that one🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous Peggy! I really want to do my runs at lunchtime, but will have to see how it goes!! Nice run!! Well done you!! 😍❤️
Thank you Fabulous for your kind words.
I normally run in the mornings. I find it suits me better. However it was different at lunchtime ,and maybe if I hadn’t already eaten breakfast around about 8.30 and the fact it was warming up by by lunchtime it might have been a better run. It’s funny though how certain times of the day suit different people.
So for me I get up as early as my body will allow me,have a cuppa with hubby,a couple of biscuits and some water then off I go🤣🤣🤣🤣.im finding I can run much better that way.
Enjoy your run Fabulous and let us know how lunchtime running suits you.🏃♀️Xx
