Well, I was suitably pumped up from my PB and went out with a bit of a pep in the step this morning. Having committed to run for fun and aware of my upcoming Charity Run next month, I have created a 5k plan on my App to run my best 5k on the day.
Today was just 2k and I definitely felt good about that! I knew it would be short enough distance for the little park nearby and it wouldn’t be a big stretch straight away. The sunshine felt so good on my face! ☀️
So today I started slow and steady to let myself ease into a flow and then I had a little play with testing my pace and seeing how it felt. There was absolutely no pressure, the run was about completing 2k! I can do that! 😁 There was no guide this time, so I had to adjust to that. 🤔 I do like a guided run! 😍
It was really good to get a feel for what is comfortable for me now that I’m a Post Grad as well as being able to experience making my own adjustments and speed up a bit for the shorter distance.
Result 2.02k in 15:43! If I’m honest I don’t even know if that’s good or bad, it’s just me! I went out and I ran. And I had FUN!! 😉
