So down in Wales and out for a run with my sister this morning. Weird feeling to be running with another human being, but I coped πππΌββοΈππΌββοΈ
She is currently in training for a half marathon and has a couple of 10kβs lined up in the next 6 weeks or so, the second of which is the one Iβll be doing. However, with my other (superfit) sister not around this weekend, it was just the two of us and in fact we discovered today that her βhappy paceβ is very slightly slower than mine. So the end result for me is that this run turned out to be a nice relaxed 10k in the early morning sunshine.
Lovely route with a mix of roads, trails, woodlands, sea views and a countryside park.
Great to get another 10k under the belt and definitely felt easier than either of the other two.
Then the big surprise at the end - whereas I normally have a 5-minute cooldown walk, we had a 90-minute hike back to our start point. So thatβs my steps target tripled for the day!
Anyway, it was a lovely way to start the day - we are off (another walk!) to the pub for lunch shortlyπ₯π

Thanks, but... no-ooo donβt tempt me, donβt mention running any further just yet π
Everyone I know is telling me to consolidate for a while... people on here, the chap in the shoe shop this week, even the Strava app itself recently said something along the lines of βare you sure you arenβt doing too much?β π
Everything you want from a run. I like a good walk back too. Takes care of the stretching πββοΈ π. I walk backwards for spells, to stretch out my calves. Good and slow, toe to heel.
Wonderful! I have yet to run with another human, but have a plan for a wee jaunt with my sister-in-law in a couple of weeks time. Well done on your satisfying run, Hoagy! x
