I'm away from home so it seemed crazy not to make use of the gym and pool. Managed the pool every day so far but just one run.
The treadmill I picked was super noisy even with my music cranked up so felt bad for the other bgm users. I had wanted to do a full 10k but the racket meant I only did 34 mins but 5 miles which was super fast.
The speed was in kmh and the distance miles so it was really confusing. I set the speed to 11.5 which at times still felt too slow but that worked out as 6min 51 per mile which is crazy fast for me (normal 9. 30ish) but unrealistic for outdoors. I'll be interested to see what happens when back outdoors after that!
Happy running people! ๐๐

I always thought that treadmill running would be much easier than outdoors, but not seeing much difference at the moment, maybe getting out early morning when it is cooler helps? Fantastic pace by the way,
Maybe helps I haven't been on a treadmill in decades plus my local pavements are really uneven so running on a flat surface is a luxury! Thank you ๐๐
Wow! That was fast JoJo! I havenโt run on a treadmill in years (other than for gait analysis!) - it would be interesting to see how I would fare on one now. Did you feel at all like a ๐น hamster?! ๐ xx
Haha!! Not really...Actually I focused on watching my legs. Awful having that mirror right there ๐คฃ๐คฃ but nice having a fan built into the machine!!
I forgot I was on it for gait analysis last week too. Christ that one was bouncy and the belt felt slack. ๐ฎ He had it up at 7 and it felt really slow, but as it was only a few minutes I've no idea really how a run on it would go.
Glad you liked it jo-jo. And fab speed. I couldnโt get the hang of the treadmill on my holiday but did it anyway. I had to put my runs in to Runkeeper manually. Will be glad to get back to bumpy ground running.
I'm looking forward to a "normal" run too. It was fun for occasional but dunno if it's good or bad. My stats didn't seem to show too much effort but that pace was nuts...let's see how home routes are after that! ๐คฃ
Good for you Gogo! I can't wait to try the dreadmill advert that report. I've only used it for physio and warm-up in the past. Enjoy the rest of your break! ๐
