Drill sergeant goes rougue

So set off this morning with the plan of trying to run a bit faster for the first half of my Wednesday 5k. Forgot to eat banana when I got up and left cold bottle of water in fridge. Annoyed but still set off determinedly. After 20 mins Drill Sergeant (Run Keeper) told me I’d ran 10 miles at a pace of 2mins per mile !! He then had the cheek to say “that don’t make you cookies”

So I’ve lost all confidence in him now I know he’ll never be satisfied and I’m going back to My Conscience.

Upshot was, gave up on Runkeeper, ran for 40 mins and hoped I’d done around 5k. It did put me off a bit knowing I’d have no record of my run and I had made an effort to run faster for the first 15 mins or so 😡

Can’t wait to have my Garmin for my birthday at the end of the month !

Ha ha! You and I are in the same boat it seems! (Runkeeper frapped up for me on Sunday whilst I was attempting my 9k). I am also getting a Garmin for my birthday but have to wait until end of August. 😮 Great run nonetheless, Sarah - be proud! xxx

Haha same! I wanted one with a heart monitor but not too pricey - must have read the same review!

I’ve got the 30 and love it. And the turquoise strap( sad)! But I am awaiting the post eagerly to get my replacement as the strap broke when I fell recently and when I rang they said as it’s under warranty they’d replace the whole thing. Nice and easy to use and pretty too, what more do you need?
