I've only just graduated from C25k and am hoping to to take part in a10k race mid December to raise money for the ms society in memory of my sister.
Any training tips? I've got about 12 weeks so I feel it's realistic. Tia x

Pick a plan and put in the event date, number of runs per week and how far you have run and they will work it out for you. I used myasics for my 10k earlier this year. Alternatively, you can do a couple of runs such as 3-5k distance per week and a longer run where you add 10% extra distance to that run each week or two. It really depends if you like a plan to be told what to do and when or if you like some flexibility!
I thought I'd go for some structure to a flexible plan? I want to add .5 k every week to one run, could be outside or on a treadmill depends on the time of day, have 1 treadmill run on an incline for 30 mins to increase stamina and 1 park run/5k outside. How does this sound as a loose plan?
That plan sounds fine. Just listen to your body as increasing distance can cause overuse injuries. You may need to adjust your plan accordingly. You should be nicely on track for your 10k event.
I used the Sammi Murphy podcasts to go from 5 to 10k. I liked the structure and the music was good too. 🤓
I am using the c210k app and it seems to be working good so far. From the c25 program you jump to halfway through the c210 and continue from there.
Increase your long run by 10% a week, include an interval or hill session and a 5k.... with a rest or reset week every 4 weeks where you do less. Strength training would also benefit too... good luck 😎
