Thanks to Ju-Jus magic plan I've now completed 3 x 10k runs. Each time, my 1k and 5k pace has improved. Tonight I've recorded my fastest 1k (6 mins) and fastest 5k (31.54 mins) plus I've been ankle deep in puddles! The magic plan was hard going, but well worth it. I'm well pleased. π

Magic plan &10k consolidations
Good run for you today, you had to run through that large puddle, I hope your shoes didn't leak.
Thank you. You also helped me get to 10k. A while ago, there was someone on here who was struggling to reach 10k. You advised them to think of it as 2 x 5k runs, rather than 1 x10k run. I find this approach makes 10k much easier. π
I understand that during a marathon which by the way I have never ran, that at 37 kilometers runners have to think that they have "only" to run a 5K parkrun, well its something they probably do most Saturdays.
I'm delighted with 10k, I dont think I could go any further. π
When I was doing C25K I decided if I graduated and I did I might continue on to 10K which I eventually did, I took my time eventually graduating to GRADUATE10 on the 28th August this year in a time of 73.03.
Last year I actually ran/walked a 10K in a time of 1 hour 28 minutes but I didn't count that as my official first 10K run, I wonder now if I should have as I have seen many people running a 10K in a slower time than that, I wanted to be at least sub 75 minutes before I got the word GRADUATE10 next to my username, like you I don't intend to go further.
Brilliant and encouraging thank you
Really great times CSMN, good for you ππββοΈ
Great running... congratulations on the PBs. I was ankle deep in water today as well, Iβll let you know if I find any running wellies!
Congratulations on completing the magic plan . There are puddles everywhere at the moment and my Garmin has spotted me jumping them and going around them. π€£π€£
