Hi all

Graduated 5k at Xmas and have been plagued with calf injury since!!

This last week I have slowed my run down and run for longer and my legs have much preferred this!

I've managed two 8.5k runs in past 5 days so hoping it won't be long til I crack that 10k!

Well done SarahFox  , just be careful with your longer runs , don't do  to many to close together

Fab progress there Sarah.  I agree about the long runs at this stage though. A good pattern is two shorter 5k's and a longer run each week. Gradually increase distance keeping to 10% rule. You don't want those calves protesting again! Good luck!

Look after your calves!  Strengthen them over time ☺  You'll get there soon if you're already at 8.5 k.  Just go steady using the 10% increments and you'll be there before you know it.  In the scheme of things it's not a long time at all.  We just think it is ☺
