Hello. I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with that tumor markers. My husband had HCC which is primary liver cancer. The tumor markers often used for HCC is Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). I know that it was high when he was first diagnosed and it fluctuated during the two years. It came down after his Deb-Tace procedure which "killed" the first tumor but went up again as other tumors appeared and the treatment (Lenvema) wasn't working. Then it went down again during his Immunotherapy infusions because the tumors were shrinking but we had to stop treatment because it was causing too much damage to his liver. So in his case, the marker that was used did fluctuate depending on if new tumors were appearing, if treatment was or was not working, etc. I did look the one you asked about up on Google and it sounds like it also can fluctuate depending on how the cancer is responding to treatment. What does your oncologist say about the increase? I think I would start there. As I said, I'm not knowledgeable or have experience with cancer that has metastisized to the liver. Allyson or Andrea may know of a group that would be more knowledgeable of that type of liver cancer. Sharon Dixon ❤️
I have been receiving Zolodex Injections every 3months for the last 5yrs.They have controlled my prostate cancer up to now but I know that they won't work for ever.
Side effects are loss of muscle strength tiredness and hot flushes. Also testosterone is destroyed with what that entails.
That has been worthwhile because of the way it has kept things under control as I have been treated for HCC.
