I am a Christian and I believe in Heaven and in all of God's promises. I do believe that I will see my parents again. The death of my parents has been very traumatic to me. Many of you may or may not believe in the afterlife or that our loved ones do try to send us little messages to say "hello" or that they are here with us or "I love you." My daddy's passing is so very fresh and I miss him so very much!! I didn't realize how much I love him. I didn't know my daddy growing up. We only got to know each other in the 10 years after my mommy passed. He helped me raise my baby boy. "His last little boy" as he called my son. Well, getting to my point. My daddy's favorite number was 4. My favorite number has always been 4. A couple of years ago my dad and I were just talking about this and that and the subject of favorite numbers came up. He was surprised that my number was 4. My daddy had many 4's in his life. His birthday, 4-14-41, he and my mother were 4 years apart in age, us kids are all 4 years apart in age, my mommy passed away on March 4 at 4:03 pm. So many 4's and I just happen to choose that number to be my favorite since I was a little girl many moons ago. Long story short...too late. lol Every time I am feeling very low and just so sad, I will happen to look at the time and I see 4:44 or the score on the game I am playing with my son will be 444. I see those numbers and I know my daddy is saying "hello" to me and it makes me feel better. A little while ago I was out in the laundry room and I doing my dad's little bit of laundry that he had before he passed. I wasn't able to pick it up all this time and tonight I picked it up and I broke down as I put it in the washer. I cried as my heart broke again. I miss my daddy so much. My son came out and found me crying and he hugged me and said it was okay to cry and he just hugged me. I hugged him back and I told him that I missed my daddy and he said he did too. I started the washer and came inside. I sat at my computer and my son and I were doing some research for his Science class. We were on Youtube watching a video about heat rising. We watched a couple of videos from the same man and as we were done watching I happened to look at the name of the person doing the videos and the name was "Awesomesocks444". What are the odds of the 444????? I smiled and cried and I said out loud, "I love you daddy!" It puts a smile on my face and I just wanted to share this with you all!! Messages from loved ones can come to us in many ways. It is always wise to keep our mind and heart open. When we cry in our wilderness HE will surely hear us and comfort us.

I had a similar experience the first time I traced my partner's name in the sand on a local beach. I stayed to watch as the incoming tide erased his name. From out of nowhere there was brilliant sunshine shining down and then it was gone. I strongly believe this was a message. I also believe that my partner is with me and will be waiting for me when my time comes.

What a sweet story. I do think we get messages from passed loved ones-hearing a certain song, seeing something similar to them in one of my kids, seeing certain numbers (5's for me since Dad was born on 5/5). Claim those 4's and the good memories of your dad. God bless you and your family.
