Has anyone lost a loved one who took their own life?

I ask this dear members as this is not something we have discussed before and I would hate to think that we have members here who for their own reasons, felt unable to speak of their tragedy.

We're here for you always.

Oh Kenny kenster1

That's so awful and so very sad and for someone who seemed to have everything going for them.

It worries me Kenny that you have experienced so much pain in your life {{{hugs}}} and I really want you to look after yourself.

Hi Chloe,

Yes, I do. It happened some time ago so it's not as raw but it did affect me big time and I now believe I had PTSD symptoms for 1,5 years after that event (the nightmares mostly).

I needed to deal with formalities and there was trauma.

It's really hard.

Each death of loved ones is very tough but this somehow is tougher...

Hi Nathalie,

I'm so sorry that you experienced such a traumatic event as this. I do wish I had known and given you the support you needed. This is something you never forget and the pain must be ever present for you. I really can understand that this type of trauma is a very difficult to work through as we can't blank our memories and emotions, but I really do hope you have been able to find a way forward.

Always here or you Nathalie x

Thank you very much, Chloe. That means a lot.

It happened over 16 years ago but those things leave deep wounds.

I had two losses in 2017 and one was traumatic too - self neglect and possibly giving up led to his death - and kind of reminded me of that one years ago.

I saw things that were very traumatic. I am seeing a good therapist.

Luckily this time I have a very supportive husband and friends were there to comfort me, which made a huge difference when going through.

Thank you very much for your support xx
