I had a really good day today visiting relations I hadn't seen for a few years. They live in a town where my children grew up so it was good to reminisce about good times.

That sound lovely Sandradsn

I bet that was a real tonic for you.

Hopefully, you'll be able to keep in contact and see a little more of them in the future.

Really happy for you x

Yesterday was a nice productive day and I did my morning interview and went away from it feeling I had given it my very best, which is all you can do really!

I packed my own lunch as well yesterday as not to get ripped off by eating out and stuck to my guns as well and that was that!

After lunch it was getting some interview clothes which gave me a right boost psychologically!

This morning I have changed the bed and the other sheets are getting washed in the machine so once that's done it's done then and I don't have to worry about it again!

Personally between you and me I do feel that it's no happy accident that since I moved up here back in the May of 2023 that my ibs has gone into remission!

I feel that was a symptom to tell me that place didn't agree with me as now it's gone that has gone into remission!

Well, you're doing fine Turnipgirl

So I would say that's a good sign. x

Good news as I have been out this morning to a place I had never been to before and it didn't work out but I wasn't upset as the main thing was I went out and tried and it wasn't for me and it's a lesson not to go near that community centre again as I felt unwelcome there so won't be going back as there's more places in life than them!

I had lunch at home today as planned and had a macaroni cheese from the freezer I got from the pantry a few weeks back which was nice and inexpensive!

In regard to those pantry places they're not there for your weekly shop or to stock up but they are great to put you on for a few days for £5 a go!

Yes, they are certainly helpful. x

It was a shame that the visit to this mornings warm space didn't work out as I hoped when they were rude to me there and I was taken aback and upset!

Thankfully I managed to stay polite and walked away from the place with my head held high as its not nice when people are rude to you when you have done nothing wrong!

Anyway I have calmed down now and feel it was a learning experience this morning not to go near that community centre again so it wasn't a wasted morning out!

I would rather wish I had never gone to things than wish I had wondering what might have been!

Not a good day but not the worst. I'm back at work for the first time since Dad's funeral last week and feeling quite emotional again. I just feel like everything has changed but I'm somehow expected to return to normal. I'm sure I'll get through it. x

Hello rmros

It's such early days for you, your emotions are all over the place and that's natural. Yes, everything has changed and it's very difficult to come to terms with, we all understand that here x

Some prefer to get back to work and find the distraction helps, but for others it's just too soon, I'm hoping you have a supervisor /manager who is supportive towards you.

Take your time, talk to people you know well and pop in here and chat, it all helps to be with people who understand.

Take care

Chloe x
