Do you sleep well?

Many of us can't seem to manage a good nights rest.

What do you do if you can't sleep, listen to the radio or get up and do something perhaps?

I get up and do something or put the radio on myself.

I had a really rough night last night and I'm grumpy and miserable today.

It's frustrating isn't it when you can't get off to sleep no matter how hard you try!

It really is!

Some people live with this constantly, I really feel for them x

I went through a phase of it myself but thankfully it's a lot better now!

Yesterday I went to my afternoon interview and travelling down there on the lunchtime bus felt like a cinch, like I had done it all my life and coming back felt nice and easy as well like I have been doing it all my life!

Quite a change from the May of 2023 when I was scared of my own shadow!

Yesterday evening I got a call off the job centre saying not to go to their course this morning as it's been postponed as the tutor took ill!

I can't say I was upset when he said that as I don't have to pay out for bus fares this morning and can go to the pantry at 10am to see my friends there and have some free cups of tea and this afternoon after the pantry, see about a self care afternoon as nothings officially booked so why not?

It's amazing how life steps in and tells you no to things!

Good news I can postpone the Tesco delivery again which will be a great help to my finances!

Small things like the pantry make a big difference!

Good news as I got lots of fresh fruit and veg at the pantry this morning and some pies to use during the week for a quick lunch, 2 tins of tuna, which will go with the rice and pasta I already have in stock here, a bottle of squash, some mushrooms, 10 eggs, some sweet potatoes I can use for mash with the pies, a fresh butternut squash to make up for mash instead of using potatoes, some apples and pears, a frozen macaroni cheese, a tin of meatballs, some vegetable and chicken gravy granules, some sweetcorn and noodles along with stir fry sauce, a jar of mayonnaise and all this was for £5!

They didn't have any margarine in today that I had run out of and I said it was fine I could buy it myself, as I was going to get some more milk anyway after I had dropped off my pantry goods at home and then pop to the local shop and that I understand the pantry can only do so much for people!

I'm a strong believer in that life helps those who make an effort to help themselves myself!

since I had children I became a very light sleeper & didn’t need much unlike my husband who is imposingly grumpy if his sleep is interrupted. I could be up all night with sick children & still function the next day. Then when my daughter died things became really bad. Very little sleep horrific nightmares & crazy sleep walking. I would often get up & go waking during the night for hrs sometimes not so good in London.

Only the other night I lay in bed wide awake much to my dogs annoyance I got up & spent the night on the sofa reading. I have a headband with speakers so I listen to music. I find it difficult now to go without sleep it makes me feel ill. My husband still & always has been a deep sleeper. He’ll sleep through & has done many times, anything. 🙄. I get really tired now but still can have trouble getting to/staying asleep. Exercise certainly helps. Especially swimming.

That's so horrible Caza

You summed it up, it makes you feel ill, and that's exactly how I feel if it goes on too long.

Is there nothing the Dr can do for you?
