I have a mountain bike Chloe never used it but likely take up cycling in the summer.
How about in the Spring kenster1 Kenny😬
Hopefully we’ll have some decent weather. The days are so dark ! Xxx
Thing is only got it so when Bonnie my dog passed away i'd take up cycling but she's still here meaning i've never used the bike. I do need a pump and lights though rather be safe than sorry
Well I'm really glad Bonnie is with you and you're still getting exercise and friendship; you'll have plenty of time to add a pump and lights.
Hi Chloe. I was always into exercise & much more after my daughter died. It helped enormously. Of late it’s been organising walks & community lunches for our village. I go to literary lunches in the pub. Often on my own which is a bit scary but to good to miss. I’ve done various things flowers pottery crochet is now on the cards but can’t say I’m passionate about any of them. They’re a distraction & you get chat to other people which is nice.
I think you’re a get up and go girl!
It’s great that you’ll go on your own, most wouldn’t, I wouldn’t have the courage.
I hope you’re feeling better x
Honestly Chloe it isn’t as hard as it sounds. Everyone is there to listen to the author. You go in buy a drink sit at a table where there’s a space. You get like a buffet lunch. It’s a nice crowd everyone chats or just listens. Then the author talks you get a chance to buy their book ( cheaper from amazon) & off you go. Last time I was brave enough to ask a question 😬. I just say to myself-you’ve been through a lot worse than this & survived. So this is nothing. My next challenge is to go to a West End show on my own. My husband isn’t too keen these days & I love the theatre so that’s next.
Took up home cooking as a result of grief back in 2020 when everything got cancelled but kindness wasn't cancelled, reading wasn't and home cooking wasn't either!
I have had 4 meals out of the one chicken this week which helps make the budgets stretch and bubble and squeak last night using up the veg from the roast dinner earlier on!
Excellent Turnipgirl
Glad you're keeping busy x
Today it has been meals at home and lunch was an Irish stew along with extra root veg in it for extra nutrition and scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast!
I'm glad to hear Bonnie the dog is still around!
Dogs like their veg don't they as one of my friends has an extremely spoilt beagle called Poppy who is 5 and gets her own fruit and veg bought for her by her mother!
One thing I find that packs a right nutritional punch is beans and lentils!
I joined a pen pal group for ladies on Facebook. I have a few pen pals that ill be writing soon.
