Hi Downinil

I just wanted to let you know that I have read through a number of articles regarding the exacerbation of pain as a result of grief.

In my opinion, from what I have understood and I am not a medical doctor, many seem to suggest that the stress involved when losing a loved one can exacerbate certain types of pain, including digestive, chest, and some heart issues. Also headaches, lowering of the immune system etc.

The link below can tell you more but personally, I have always believed physical pain to be

a very real concern when grieving, so I am putting this question out again [I did a couple of years back]

you once mentioned complicated grief to me I’d never heard of it. I’d like to know more about that & if any folk on here think that’s what they’re suffering from.

I have never mastered telling people that I have a daughter but that she’s died. When asked, how many children have you got I change the subject. There’s just no easy way to tell people so as not to upset them but also the risk of not upsetting them 🤯. Neither of which I’d be comfortable with confusing I know.

When a good friend of mine lost her husband a few of her ‘good friends’ dropped her. Apparently they do her as a threat. This is common I believe. Have widows widowers on here experience this?
