I've had a medium reading at my friends house.there was a group of us who went in one by one. I saw people come out sobbing.I was always skeptical about things like that I just thought it was a bunch of hocus pocus until it was my turn this woman told me things only me and my mum knew there was no way she would know that not even my friend only me and my mum know.she gave me a nickname my granddad used to call me and said his legs had come back as he had them amputated in this life.I was blown away but I was quite shook up.Has anyone ever had a reading if so do you believe?

Interesting. I once had a reading by a medium, but she told me something only I knew. Seated at a table in her home, she said to me, "You write and you write and then they tear it up. It hurts you." She accompanied her words with gestures, writing on a sheet of paper and then ripping it to shreds. I wrote newsletters for a corporation. Although my boss liked my writing, he was very critical. He didn't literally tear up my manuscripts, but he often told me to rewrite whole pages. His actions bothered me. The medium never asked me what kind of work I did, and their was no way she could tell my occupation by the way I dressed or spoke.

My husband died twenty months ago & I am planning on visiting a medium. After Mike died I was visiting a friend who has twice been to this particular medium who also told her things no one else could have known. The second time she went the medium told her that Mike ( my husband) was with Ray ( her husband ) who had died few years before. This was on the Thursday after Mike had died the previous Sunday & my friend didn't know then that Mike had died. She told the medium that she only knew two Mike's, both of whom had been work colleagues of Ray's & it couldn't be either of them!!!!! Not sure how I felt before, but I now feel that there has to be something in it.

I have wondered if it's telepathy but this reveals it can't be.

Hm I haven't and I used to be skeptical and not really believe in them. But since my dads passing I kind of want to try it. Just to see. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Your welcome I was very skeptical till my mum passed and then had that one done it's very interesting to be honest it made me so happy when I had finished also I always ask my mum in my head if she's ok and if she's with me and the medium said to me "the answer your looking for that you ask mum in your head she said she's fine and got no more pain and I'm always with you sweetheart you will always be my little girl and I couldn't be any prouder of the woman you have become." I sobbed at that point there's no way she would of known that. Lperica10

I have been seriously considering going to a spiritualist or medium. I had a very vivid dream a few nights ago where my Mum visited me at the end of my dream and she was just as she was when I came to see her and she had just passed away. I was only out of the room where I had cared for her for six years, for a few minutes and when I returned she had gone

Hi Greybags seeing a medium is something to think about if your into them I wasn't until I lost my mum and I don't regret it at all.although you do get the odd one who is just trying to make money off your sadness I believe in the ones that know things that only you and your loved one who has passed away. Your dream sounds to me like your mum is probably trying to tell you she's ok and that she's still with you.they say our loved ones visit us in our dreams with a message or just to let us know they are fine xxx

Natz,

I noticed this post today and thought I’d add something odd that happened back in 1969. I went to a local hall one evening with my mother where a medium was giving a talk. I was sceptical about going but went to accompany my Mum.

She spoke to a lady that had lost her wedding ring in the garden and that her husband died in the war, she sat there with tears in her eyes and then the medium said that you found the ring in the garden many years later, which was true.

There was quite a few people there listening, then the lady said to my Mum that she had 2 sisters and 3 brothers, which was true, she also said that we were trying to move House and that it would take longer than expected but we would get to the new house in the end. This too was true but then she said that my Dad had an older brother who had the same name as my Dad but died early on. I thought this was very odd and when we got home, my Dad asked how we got on, I said the medium got some things right but she got it wrong about you having an older brother who had your name, my Dad said that it was true and the baby died shortly afterwar birth and that he was named after him.

I was staggered at what he said and thought the whole experience rather odd. To be honest I have no idea how this lady knew so much, we had t met her before.

A very strange evening!

I have always steered clear of mediums and other spiritistic practices such as palm reading, tarot cards, etc. The Bible is clear concerning attempts by the living to contact the dead—a practice that was common in ancient times. For example, Almighty God’s Law to the nation of Israel said: “There should not be found in you anyone . . . who consults a spirit medium or . . . inquires of the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to God.” (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) The Bible also states that those who practice spiritism in any of its forms “will not inherit God’s Kingdom.”

Some claim that spirit mediums are able to disclose information that only the dead and their family or friends could possibly know.

In the Bible, chapter 28 of the book of 1 Samuel relates how an unfaithful king named Saul violated God’s command not to consult spirit mediums. He appealed to a medium, a woman who seemed to communicate with a deceased man of God named Samuel! But did she actually contact Samuel? No! She was, in fact, communicating with an impostor—someone impersonating dead Samuel.

That impostor was a wicked spirit, an agent of “the father of the lie”—Satan. (John 8:44) Why do the wicked spirits, or demons, promote the view that the dead live on? Their goal is to malign God and discredit his written Word, the Bible.—2 Timothy 3:16.

Does the foregoing mean that the dead have no hope? Not at all! The Bible promises a future resurrection for those who are ‘asleep,’ as it were, in the grave. (John 11:11-13; Acts 24:15) In the meantime, we are assured that our dead loved ones are not suffering in any way.

Please read the Bible verses for yourself so you can see that it's written in your Bible and not my opinion.
