Hi. kelly. How can we help? If you feel up to telling us more I am sure you will get helpful advice. A lot of people here suffer with depression. Regards. jonathan.

Hi Kelly - and welcome to the site! As Jonathan says, there's lots of support, advice and - yes, love - on here! :) How long have you been on fluoxetine? Anti-depressants do take a while to work, but if you've been on them for a while might be worth going back to your GP and discussing trying another one - different meds work for different people.

But do come back and tell us a little more, if you feel up to it. No-one on here will judge or criticise, we all just want to support each other - as well as have a bit of fun sometimes! :)

Lots of love

Rose

Hi Kelly, welcome to the site :) did you check to see if the kalms may be taken with fluxotine? or maybe the increased dose is causing the migraines. I would go back to the docs love and check with him, but do keep posting won't you? you don't have to feel ill to come on. Lots of Love x Ella x

Have a chat with your gp on this one you may respond better to something different if the herbal is better than the chemical meds?

I personally think that 60mg of Fluoxetine is a very high dose and I also do not agree with people being left on this type of drug for years. Doctors only seem to want to manage but never cure peoples conditions! One of the side effects of fluoxetine amongst many others is headaches . They can also cause nervousness. Speaking from experience I think that you should try and get to the bottom of your anxiety problem once and for all. You could try visiting a homeopathic doctor who will take all your mental and physical symptoms into account and also seek out the CAUSE of your problem, not just leave you on harsh drugs for years. It would be worth it and your life would be so much better. !. Another piece of advice is to cut out stimulants like tea and coffee from your diet. Drink calming cammomile tea and horlicks and also take vitamin B complex for your nerves. Simple changes CAN make a difference. A brilliant book which covers all aspects of mental health is "Beyond Prozac" by Doctor Terry Lynch. I hope I have helped in some way!
