passing strangers

Feeling a bit low,I dialled my brother's number and a jolly person wished me season's greetings.

not recognising the voice I said "Sorry,I think I've dialled the wrong number."

quick as a flash she said

"well I haven't picked up the wrong phone..."

I actually did laugh out loud! I thanked her for cheering me up. she wished me season's greetings and we hung up.

I don't know who she was, but she changed my day by making me laugh and giving me a funny tale to share.

I was talking to the car parking attendant at a hospital. He was 76 and what a guy. He loved his job, spoke to everyone passing and was just a lovely bloke.

He really did put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. I even got a mars bar off him. People like him are a breath of fresh air. I certainly wont forget him in a hurry.

Anxiety is mentioned a lot in the Bible, do not have any worries or anxiety and we should trust the God, i am not sure why we always have doubts, i do that all the time and forget his words, hope i will remember the above every time my anxiety hits!!!

I love this story too,I was only yesterday talking about needing more fun in my life with the people on my counselling course,I ended up having a cushion fight with one of the girls lol. It can totally change your mood!

Hi.sandra. Lovely story and so simple. It is not the big things in life that make a difference but the small ones. There is a story I put on before but I think, in the light if your blog it might bear repeating. A man said to his Landlady, "I have had enough and I am going down to the canal and that's it. Finish". He thought for a moment and said, "But if the first person I meet smiles at me I will not go". The question is. Are YOU going to be the first person he meets. Love. jonathan.
