passing strangers

Feeling a bit low,I dialled my brother's number and a jolly person wished me season's greetings.

not recognising the voice I said "Sorry,I think I've dialled the wrong number."

quick as a flash she said

"well I haven't picked up the wrong phone..."

I actually did laugh out loud! I thanked her for cheering me up. she wished me season's greetings and we hung up.

I don't know who she was, but she changed my day by making me laugh and giving me a funny tale to share.

angels take many forms.

regards,

sandra.

  • Great story .......what a nice person, as you said angels take many forms. That lady spread a little goodness. PL :-)

  • I was talking to the car parking attendant at a hospital. He was 76 and what a guy. He loved his job, spoke to everyone passing and was just a lovely bloke.

He really did put a smile on my face for the rest of the day. I even got a mars bar off him. People like him are a breath of fresh air. I certainly wont forget him in a hurry.

    Love Lou. xx

  • Lovely! I'm sure we all come across Angels at some time! They are a blessing xxxxx

  • Loved your story, everyone in here is an angel for supporting each other.

Am going to church now and will light up a candle for all of us in here.

    Love u all xx

  • rouri. Two candles for me, please. I am in need of them at this time of year.

    Love. jonathan.

  • all of you in my prayers and will do as you asked :) heard a very nice Reading today:

    Philippians 4: 4 - 7

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

Let all men know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand.

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Anxiety is mentioned a lot in the Bible, do not have any worries or anxiety and we should trust the God, i am not sure why we always have doubts, i do that all the time and forget his words, hope i will remember the above every time my anxiety hits!!!

    big hug

  • I love this story too,I was only yesterday talking about needing more fun in my life with the people on my counselling course,I ended up having a cushion fight with one of the girls lol. It can totally change your mood!

  • Hi.sandra. Lovely story and so simple. It is not the big things in life that make a difference but the small ones. There is a story I put on before but I think, in the light if your blog it might bear repeating. A man said to his Landlady, "I have had enough and I am going down to the canal and that's it. Finish". He thought for a moment and said, "But if the first person I meet smiles at me I will not go". The question is. Are YOU going to be the first person he meets. Love. jonathan.

  • Amen xxx

  • thankyou all, she'll never know how any lives she's touched.

it reminds me of the old saying

"If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours!"

    seasons greetings!

    sandra.
