Tried yoga for the first time tonight. I actually feel relaxed!! It closed my mind to any thoughts because I was concentrating on my breathing and my very inflexible muscles!!! I recommend it.

HI thanks for that i will look for local times in gym i will try anything i am glad you liked it x

I would love to try yoga, but i wouldnt daer go to the gym alone at the moment...we should have a skype yoga session lol. Glad it helped you, let us know how you go on with it the more you do xx

Hi Duckula,

I have been a practising yogi for about 30 years. It has benefited me enormously, especially, as you say, the breathing, and I love the meditation, which my teacher excels at. At my moments of high anxiety it has kept me 'sane'. As now I am 65 the hatha part of yoga is diminishing but if I hadn't practised yoga I think the old 'arthritis' would have left me much less supple.

Keep going to yoga, it has soo....many benefits.

Hi Duckula. That's fab :) I started Yoga recently too, and although I can't say it relaxed me (made me realise how unfit I was! Lol) I enjoyed the experience of the exercise.

Caz27. I don't enjoy going to the gym, even with my friend, so I bought a DVD and mat and it only cost me £30 in total. I now do Yoga every other day at home. :)
