So I want to start doing yoga. I just bought a Mat and want to know if anybody has some good suggestions for beginners. I may look into a local class but want to know if there are any utube videos that anyone can recommend that they like in the meantime.

Sorry I have no tips for you on this one but wanted to say good for you as if you can get in to this they say it is very good to get you to relax

I think it is a great idea to join a class if you can could make some new friends maybe to :-)

If no one has suggestions I would just look on You Tube and pick out the one's that you feel the most comfortable with

I do a lot of the videos on you tube

I just kind of jump around to different ones 🙂 They have anxiety based yoga with is very helpful... idk if your religious or not but they also have Christian based yoga as well

I'd highly recommend Yoga with Adriene on YouTube! Right now she's doing a 31 day yoga series that I've been doing for a few weeks now. I've been watching her videos for years, she is great!

Good for you! I have just started yoga again after a few years. I can't recommend yoga studio app enough. It's brilliant. It does have an app cost which is one off and totally worth it after a free trial to make sure you like it before buying.

She importantly tells you when to breathe in and out for each position.

I did go to local class a couple of times years ago, but I like ease and convenience of being at home.

That's very good. yoga is not only good for physical health but also for mind to relax. As you are beginners to yoga, i suggest to get training from experienced yoga teacher. Please do not follow any video in the beginning. But You can read some text on yoga. Yoga is just not doing physical exercise, its related with your breathing also. In yoga classes, you will learn when to exhale and inhale while doing asanas.
