Hi All, Anyone had any bad sideffects from taking the antidepressant - Mirtazapine? I have been having anxiety, wondering if it passes off?

hi i have just been given this drug but have not taken it yet did you have anxiety before what dose and how long you been on it i have read some good things about this drug were you on anything before x

Think about this very carfully. You have been prescribed a drug to help your anxiety, included with the drug is a paper that lists all of the side effects.You read the paper. Now remember you have anxiety so what will your thoughts tell you ? what will your mind say to you in the state of anxiety, probably you will get those side effects, am I right ? and belive me you will think you have some if not all of them. It might be better if you just took the tablet without knowing. I have been on it for about 8 months, my doctor told me not to read the paper, I didn't and I have not had any side effects. The drug should help you sleep and help you to relax if you give it chance to work, it takes about 2 weeks to get into your system. I have heard of cases of people taking just one tablet and imagining them having a heart attack.

When I first started this medication I was extremely tired, had bad heartburn and felt worse. But after a couple of weeks my body started to get used to the medication and after a further 4 weeks started feeling better. I currently take this for anxiety and depression.

hi newday , o/h has been on them about 8 months now, really good to help you sleep, no side effects, just a little weight gain, but worth it for the benefits, take care. xxx
