what can I do to take my mind of my anxiety, some days it’s just far too much, sat worrying about everything constantly, concentrating on my body if it’s not that then I’m worried about anything and everything, I’m so stressed

I find reading through posts here to be a good distraction or reading a good book.

How about watching a movie even if you don't concentrate on it, it still might distract your mind a bit?

dizzychar... our mind and body are interconnected. When our mind starts filling us

with negative thoughts, it's time to move our body. It doesn't have to be a walk or

exercising but simply allowing the mind to be busy with something else.

As for myself, I find that organizing my closets takes concentration in putting all the

things in their proper spots. My linen closet takes time and concentration to go through

stacking the different sizes and colors. Ridding myself of what it unusable any more.

The time spent on that or doing drawers makes for time to go a little faster and thoughts

become more positive. At the end of the process, there is a satisfaction of accomplishment.

When restless and feeling agitated, one of the best ways in calming down is vacuuming.

Believe it or not, you start breathing more deeply and properly while doing this chore.

You are expelling the extra adrenaline as well as once again, an accomplishment which

goes far in lessening our negative thoughts.

Of course I still meditate each day and do my breathing. That too is a mind/body

experience that helps immensely. Wishing you calm :) xx.

I find reading a really engaging book helps my anxiety. Also having a photo of my Grandchildren nearby. Whenever I feel really down and can’t cope, I try and think , “what would my grandchildren think if they didn’t have their Nonna around”, it usually gets me through the really bad feelings so I can start to feel, not great, but a little better.
