I have taken 100mg sertraline for 9 years and been fine just had a health scare and its triggered my anxiety and panic attacks. My GP increased my meds to 150mg 6 weeks ago still struggling to get the extra 50mg into my system and now due to insomnia and nerve pain she has introduced 10mg Amatriptaline I feel more anxious than ever could it be that I'm taking to much

Hi, I am on 100mg sertraline but my doctor said I cannot have amytriptyline for nerve pain because I am on sertraline. They are both anti depressants I believe so would be like a double dose.

Hi I have been on 200mg of sertraline for many years. I was given amitriptyline for pain. I was told that it is safe to have both together. I've been on amitriptyline for two or three months. Pain has lessened, no side effects. Maybe you should go back to your GP, they can try other pain relief.
