Sertraline help

I’ve been on Sertraline for 10 years and it’s been fine, I had stopped panicking and been able to live my life relatively normally. Now, I’ve started getting anxious and panicky again, has anyone else had this issue? Does Zoloft wear off? I need to increase my meds but I’m terrified of the side effects, does anyone have any advice with increasing the dose?

after about 10 years, my medications have stopped working as well because my body gained some immunity. It may be time to try a new med. for me Citalopram and escitalopram work well. Trintellix isn’t always covered by insurance and becomes addictive.

Thanks for your reply, it’s really scary how something can work for so long and you feel normal then boom, back to square one! Hope the new meds work for you!

I have been on 100mg sertraline for 9 years and was doing so well I had a health scare and my anxiety and panic attacks went through the roof my Dr increased me to 150mg I was horrendous I tried for 8 weeks I couldn't handle the side effects I am now back at 100mg and working harder in trying g to do more still struggling a bit but I'm hoping to settle back on 100mg. But please every body reacts differently I know a lady who was on 100mg and went up to 160mg with no side effects. I am seeing her tomorrow I will let you know how she's doing. Maybe you should try you can always come back down

Hey SHEPHER I’m in the same boat - the doctor put me straight up to 150mg and i couldn’t handle it, so I went back down, been struggling ever since! So, I’m now going up to 125mg but really slowly, going to do 125mh every other day for the next 2 weeks and go from there. I hope you’re okay, panic attacks are the worst!
