panic attacks

I have panic attacks every morning. I lie down for hours. It has gotten to be a habit.

they say to face the fear but I’m not able to.

I feel anxious all day. I have tried many medications but none have helped. Clonazepam helps a little and mirtazapine for sleep

hi sorry I can’t offer any constructive thought, just wanted you know that your not alone, I too suffer really bad panic attacks and find them very dibilatating but just tell yourself that this will pass and breathing slowly in for 5 through the nose and hold for 5 and breath out for 5 through your mouth. Take care and hopefully there will be brighter days

Hello Talia, I know that I pass through the same thing and have for many years. Fortunately, in my case it usually passes after 30 min so I try to get out of bed as quickly as possible to get my mind off of it. I take my anxiety med as soon as I wake up in my case it's clonidine (which is not fast acting so I have to wait it out) then usually I'm okay to get started on my day. Do you get these attacks in the afternoon as well or is it only in the morning?

Thank you. I take clonidine too

I mostly have them during the mornings

Sometimes during the day but not as severe. But have generalized anxiety during the day Meditation helps some.

I’m trying tapping. I listen to Rick Hansen .weekly

He gives good advice.

Aloha

Hi TaliaTalia5, it sounds like you are trying all of the things I have tried and I know they are not completely fulfilling. I wish there was a magic cure for this. Do you have trouble sleeping as well?

I have obstructive sleep apnea. So I use cpap I take mirtazapine at bedtime

I don’t have any trouble sleeping

I try to be optimistic and don’t want to get depressed

They say think of good thoughts before bedtime and as soon as you wake up also practice gratitude

I think if I could face the fear thst it would help. I have a lot of fear

Have to keep trying

Thank you

I take clonazepam not clonidine. Made a mistake. Does clonidine lower your blood pressure. Do you have any side effects

isn’t Candida albicans a fungal infection? Don’t understand why it has to do with anxiety.

Thanks
