Trying to help my brother

I have a 40 year old brother who is in a major depression. He spends every day with a new ailment, a new pain or a new health concern. He visits 3 or 4 practioners a week for injections for migraines, for back pain, chiropractic adjustments, accupressure etc. We have tried to think of everything and anything that might help him. Every time he feels any stress, he gets a headache. I've sent him for energy healing and to nutritional experts. I don't know what to do. He has tried various anti-depressants . I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any new ideas of what we might try. I had cancer a couple years ago and this causes me also a lot of distress because I don't know how to help him. Thank you in advance!

Hi Fallin77, I may have something that will help both of you but it must be practiced

faithfully and long term.

One is Meditation, as the power of the mind can alleviate pain, discomfort as well

as being used to visualize, any Cancer cells in the body, being destroyed and swept

away.

Self Hypnosis is also a great tool to be trained in. Again it has to do with

retraining the mind and can be used for different maladies.

I can't even remember the last time I took a low dose Tylenol for pain. I sit calmly

and breathe letting my mind do the work and not popping a pill.

We have to stay one step ahead of our discomforts. Over medicating can bring

about rebound pain. Many good Meditation videos for Pain Control are on

YouTube. I wish you and your brother my best. :) xx

Thank you for your response! Are there any videos on YouTube you can recommend for the self-hypnosis?

Hi Fallin77, sorry dear, I didn't forget you. It's just that every time I get on YouTube

meditation, I can't help but listen to them myself. For me, it all about the soft gentle

voice speaking slowly. One that I've used myself is by Michael Sealey. He has a very

gentle, deep calming voice. The video is called "Hypnosis to Declutter Your Mind"

There are a whole array of self hypnosis videos. It's hard for me to pick someone

out that will work for you or your brother. The one I gave you is to be used for sleep.

There are some made for Pain. Again finding the one that your brother can relate to

is important or it's meaningless.

May I also suggest "Reiki". If you've never tried it, it's worth a shot. It's used in the

hospital in the Cancer Center for critically ill patients in pain. Again, it is something

that may not work for everyone but worth a try.

For Generalized Anxiety, I had listened to a Brain Washing meditation to change

your thought process to a more positive one. (can't find that one but it is there.

Take a listen to a few and if you still need help, let me know. My best to your brother. :)xx
