Hi Jimmyluke55, has anything changed within the last 3 weeks? As situations arise,
sometimes we feel as if we lost control which can in turn make as fear what the future
holds. Sounds like you are in the "fight or flight" stance. Shoulders up to your ears,
tense muscles throughout your body etc Being on medication can only go so far.
The rest is helped by therapy as well as finding methods/tools that can help you to
relax.
My "go to" is YouTube. I would look for a short (1-3-5) meditation tape on relaxing.
Oh it isn't a one time shot but a continual daily ritual, which will eventually convert
your mind to a more positive approach. Finding and addressing the root of the cause
is essential in bringing down these fears.
Now there is always a possibility that after time, medication no longer is efficient.
For this issue, I would suggest seeing your prescribing doctor to check on the
efficacy of your meds. My best to you xx
I know exactly how you feel, I've got worse and now at my wit's end. Unfortunately I didn't get on with Sertraline, it gave me acute diahorrea, I came straight off it. I wish you luck because my GP is is pushing me down psychologist path. Sorry I can't be of much more help.
Hi, I have been getting reoccurring depression for 30 years. I don’t know what triggers a relapse but know I want to stay at home and not see anyone, I have to make a effort to go out for a walk, that helps and also meeting up with friends helps a lot. It’s a big effort I know too well, but it’s worth it. Good luck
they gave me clonidine (bp meds) to relax. Maybe get a deep tissue massage. Good luck!
Hi there
Speak to your doctor about how you feel. Your medication may need adjusting. Sometimes it can be to low or to high. It’s worth seeing GP about how you’re feeling. Don’t suffer
