I’m new here. My doctor put me on 50mg Sertraline 2 weeks ago for anxiety and OCD. Today I feel awful. My anxiety is bad. I’m shaking, feeling really sick, headache, scared of something. I just want to run away and hide. I don’t know why I’m so anxious all the time. I just hope this Sertraline will work soon

Sertraline is good once it kicks in but it takes a few weeks to start working properly and in that tim period I suffered with side effects - heart palpitations and extreme highs and lows. Then it flattened out and was okay. I had to come of the pills tho as they where messing with my heart unfortunately lol.
I havnt taken any pills for 2 years now and honestly I feel better for it. However that's not to say they will not work for you. I hope everything goes okay? Keep us updated?
Hey what effects did they have on your heart that made you have to come off them ? If you don’t mind me asking as I’m worried about taking them due to seeing they can cause heart issues
I am so sorry to hear that you feel so bad. I too was on Sertraline and suffered from the same side effects as you. I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin. I could not talk to anyone without crying. Didn't want to leave my house. I was in a constant state of fear about something but did not know of what. After 5 weeks of this torture my doctor switched me to Amitryptaline. Within 72 hours I was a new person. I hope you will find what works best for you. Keep in touch.
There are other anti depressants which work faster. I tried those and they worked quickly. These work slowly and they can give bad side effects too. You sound so down. Ive posted for you on a new message board I found for prayers, you do not need to be religious or go there yourself, people will pray for you and support you anyway. accuratepsychicreadingsonli.... I research all medicines thoroughly before I agree to take them.
