Busiprone is used to treat the symptoms of anxiety, taken responsibly by adhering to the instruction leaflet will be helpful. The best thing however is for you to discover the best way for YOU to manage your own symptoms. Breathing exercises, relaxation, and such like, also look at the root cause - did something happen in your life when you were younger? If it did find a facilitator/ counsellor/ priest/ friend who can work through this with you. Be positive, YOU can get through this -

Thanks for encouraging email, I did some relaxed breaths and (old fashioned cure?) breathed in and out using a paper bag also was lucky to get appt. with understanding doc - she even endorsed the paper bag! and gave me script for the buspirone to take if I needed. also checked me over and said "chest clear as a bell which also helped of course . Most likely it was a panic attack that was the problem

The only med that directly helped my anxiety/panic was Klonopin a benzo. I also took zoloft and buspar without any success. A benzo is much faster acting.
