First off I have a low stomach acid and a hiatus hernia since I was a teenager and since depression arrived a few months back my GP started my on Sertraline for but could only stick them for 4 weeks because of wild headaches, dizziness and nausea. Now Fluoxetine is giving me serious bloating constipation maybe because of my IBS. My mood is a bit better and was thinking is there an antidepressant that's kinder on the stomach, any advice welcome.?

Hey there! I take Zoloft also, and have SOME stomach issues. I also have Chrons, so that complicates things a bit for me, but something that has worked for me is: Take my medication at once, in the morning, on an empty stomach. With no other medications. Then, I try to eat something within 20 minutes- usually a scrambled egg and a protein drink of some sort. This helps to alleviate most of my bloating from medication.
Of course, our bodies are all unique and different. What works for one might not for others. There might be a medication you can try that does NOT cause any issues, and unfortunately it is journey to find which one works for you.
Have you tried taking the supplement "Turmeric"? It relieves bloating and inflammation and helps me a bit.
Im going to start on Zoloft pretty soon. I been putting it off because I suffer from abdominal pain. Specially scared since my pain Started with antibiotics. So, I need to start it since all test come back negative and there is no known cause on what is causing it. Apparently I have functional dispepsia. Its so painful.
