Morning anxiety is destroying me
Hi Cimmy, this is a very normal reaction to anxiety. Our stress hormones are at theirhighest early morning preparing us for a new day.. In our anxious state of mind, we
fear what the new day may bring feeding into that already high adrenaline level.
Waking up on a more positive note would be in meditating and breathing in relaxing
positive thoughts. Exhaling negativity and reassuring yourself that whatever the
day holds ahead for us, we can and will handle it.
Staying hydrated also plays an important part in feeling better.
I've used Meditation and Breathing for years upon awakening, mid afternoon and
before bed. Once your brain adjusts to positive reinforcement, it will be prepared
no matter what you have to face. If you should feel fear, your mind and body will
eventually go into automatic response which will quiet down your fears and symptoms.
You have the power xx
Hi and thank you for your kind reply. I wake each morning with a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. I will definitely try breathing exercises, I just want to lookForward to getting up rather than dreading it, my morning anxiety can last hours and I find it very hard to break that cycle. I thank you again for your kind reply response
I have the power🤞🤞🤞hopefully
I used to hop on my stationary bike right when I woke up to burn off some of that anxiety. It was very helpful. If you don’t have one you can take a quick walk outside for a few minutes. It does really help.
Thankyou for your kind reply, I will try walking in my garden, it might help rather than sit there having negative thoughts. My anxiety is ruining my life🥺 but I willTry, thanks again
My psychologist says this is very common with all her patients, personally I take propranolol before bed each night, still get diarrhoea but far less flight or fight than before it's because cortisol levels rise as you wake to face the unknown.
Hi and thank you for your kind reply? Just knowing I’m not alone is something I’m grateful for, I just want one day when I wake up and smile, I’m so sorry for your loss, it is horrendous to try and deal with it, but you sound like a strong approachablePerson, your reply has inspired and comforted me
So
Thank you again my friend. Take care
