I had a mri of my spine today due to them thinking I have a pinched nerve, they only gave me a spine scan? Why would they do that if it’s my arm? I’m unsure and also does anyone know what happens if the results come back normal? Then what am I to think because then I will think it’s something serious as it is there 24/7 as where my anxiety symptoms are not so it’s a real issue not just anxiety

I agree in that everything isn't anxiety however the CT scan could determineif you have a pinched nerve or disc issue. If it's normal, your doctor would be the
one to address the situation. If more tests are needed, or therapy or medication.
You have a lot going on today and I'm sorry xx
My dad had his left arm go numb. It was due to a compressed vertebrae is his neck. That’s likely why they look pics of your spine. It’s a symptom that is common for a compression somewhere or a pinched nerve somewhere. They’ll start there usually.
So if it’s not anything to do with spine do you think more tests are needed as this isn’t normal
Yeah hopefully they will do more tests. You should ask for more tests too. Sometimes doctors give up looking for a problem if the patient doesn't insist strongly. I too have numbness on my left side but it's not as bad as yours sound. Most of the time consistent numbness is from a pinched nerve and it can be fixed. So no worries just keep trying to find the cause. It's amazing how so many people here experience the same things I do. Anxiety can do unbelievable things to the body. Makes it much more difficult to figure out what the actual problem is. Process of elimination seems like the best approach to solving all these problems.
