Left arm pain

I've been having left arm pain for a couple months now. Somedays its worse than others, today for example. The pain starts at the shoulder and ends at my fingers. It hurts at different spots (not all at the same time) it worries me because I think it has to do with my heart. I don't have other symptoms with it. I just think of it too much & I feel as if my jaw hurts too. Does anyone else feel this? What can I take for it?

  • Try breathing exercises, mindfullness, distraction and some paracetamol. From your past posts it sounds like you (like me) are a great worrier and chest pain, arm pain, headaches and dizziness are some of the commonest symptoms at your age and unlikely to be anything serious.

  • Thank you. I will try this.

  • If it still hurts try seeing a doctor

  • I will be. Its still hurting.

  • My left arm pain used to scare me so much, especially since I'm often dizzy at the same time with jaw pain & racing heart rate. Cardiac tests showed some arrhythmia but basically strong heart & neurology tests cleared stroke also. Consensus from doctors has attributed the issues to bulging cervical discs, but finally after much complaining to many doctors, I also was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, a torn biceps tendon, and a SLAP tear.

It's miserable... I pray you find relief!!

  • Thank you! I keep going to the doctors only for them to tell me it's nothing or its more likely to be costochonditritis. Although no pain medicine, heat, or icy hot work with the pain. I was told by a friend who was having the same issue that it could be tendonitis.

I can't blame all this on anxiety or believe the pain is coming from that. I think I know my body well enough to know something else is wrong.. I will be hopefully going to a new doctor on Tuesday & maybe he can tell me something. Thank you. I need prayers :)
