Agh Anxiety

I hate anxiety, when my hearts racing I am in this fog of a whirlwind and then when I cant feel my heart beating i get anxious over that. Sometimes i just feel so out of body dragging myself to work. If I don't have anxiety that day I intern just feel numb and this whole body calmness that makes me even more nervous like something is gonna happen. Anybody else?

Hi mosesmam ..i have my bad days almost everyday lately ..most of my symptoms are no energy ..weakness in my arms and legs..when this hapoens i feel very afraid..alone..then after awhile it suddenly gets better only to start again couple hrs after or so...im shaking at times but im trying to cope..you be strong we will get over this.

Exactly how it is for me. And the ssri which are supposed to help you just come along with other issues. I never give up because I have a son and animals to take care of.

Hello moses man.

I have struggled with anxiety since my childhood. Heart racing and panic attacks. This feeling of strangeness when its not around and you feel in alert mode looking for the storm to come.

I decided to start a behavorial cognitive therapy to tackle that and understand the why and how of that feeling. But also meditation just using the headspace app that has a meditation focus on anxiety.

To be honest it's been a long ride. 5years of therapy later and I am 37 and only now I can appreciate the calm of my mind when anxiety is not around. And when it is I just go through it and accept it.

Headspace isn't magic. It's just an approach to give you perspective on that feeling. But the combination of both are game changer. Anxiety doesn't impact my life anymore like it used to. And I I quite at ease with it now.

I guess my point is that there are some resources. Maybe this can help you as it helped me.

Thank you for your response. I started getting panic attacks out of nowhere 5 years ago. They come out of nowhere. Havent tried meditation but I've tried music, vitamins, ssri and now I just ride them out at home without going to hospital.
