Covid taste/ smell- how long til it comes back?

Those who have had Covid and lost their smell/ taste, how long did it take to come back? I’ve completely lost mine and it’s starting to freak me out. I’m such a foodie as well as loving candles in my house and I really don’t like the fact I can’t smell or taste anything!

I see you are in the UK , the best thing to do is get a test

If you think you have covid you need to know rather than still going out as we know that is how it spreads

If you go on the Government website you can either book a drive through test or get one sent to your home

This might be nothing at all but best be safe

Hi, thanks for your reply. I do have covid and I’ve had a positive test and I’m taking all the necessary precautions. I’m asking for those that have had covid to let me know how long their symptoms lasted, just out of interest as not being able to taste or smell anything is a very weird sensation!

O I am sorry you have picked this virus up

I don't have the answer but from what I have read some say about 2 weeks

I hope you have a speedy recovery and are back to full health soon x
