Hi Borderriever,

I'm sorry for you! You have 10 years on me. You are right, it doesn't get easier. I pray for a miracle breakthrough for ALL of us. Blessings to you!

I've had anxiety for about 14 years. Started in elementary school! On and off it got really bad then alittle better but never fully gone. I have severe panic attacks and depression. Insomnia and then just wanting to sleep all day happens to me too. All in all, anxiety sucks.

Hi. Looking back I'm sure I've suffered anxiety all my life. In fact I call it my middle name !!!

When you feel bad it helps to A. Talk to someone who is sympathetic ( not the people who tell you to ( pull yourself together ). B. Try to keep busy and always talk with your Doctor.

It's horrible , I know , and it's hard to stay positive but this is a brilliant site with so many understanding people.

Good luck.

I had it all my life but got very bad about 12 years ago I've gone on an anti d now it's a great help. I do get break through anxiety but it's when someone I love is ill once they get better the anxiety stops. So at least I can live some sort of normal life. If you need to take a pill to have some type of quality of life why not life is to short to be in a constant state of worry and anxiety.

Hello, I've had anxiety and depression for 25 years. Right now I am at my worst. All I want to do is sleep, the second I wake up I think of when I can sleep next. I quit my job 3 months ago. (Job was making my stomach upset) I should have an interview soon, and I am nervous. Also, this Sat I have a fancy event to go to. I will be in and out of bathroom that day (I assume, but will try to keep calm)

It's almost like I become a nervous, numb, wreck. Yesterday I kept thinking"I don't want to do this anymore". I wouldn't hurt myself but I am tired of life. My aunt committed suicide and my other aunt is mentally ill. I see myself on the same road. I don't want to tell my mom how bad I am because she has been through so much with her two sisters that I just mentioned. And my dad and her parents died recently so I've been talking with my boyfriend and he's great but I still feel so alone.

Thank you, be well

Hi Loverock,

I do understand your frustrations. As I mentioned I've been going through this for 20 years and its really bad. I too, like yourself, am tired of this life but I want to LIVE so bad. I have so much that I want to do and most importantly, I have two handsome sons that needs me and I, them. I want to be delivered and set free from the illness. I'm sorry for your loss. I pray that we all get completely healed. ASAP! Be well!

Thank you for your caring response. I too have a son and he's means everything to me. He sees what I go through, he's what keeps me going. Yes, I too want to live happy. Funny thing is my life isn't bad, my mind likes to play tricks with me. So today when I woke up I just kept saying "I'm ok" and "just breath". I think that once I get working and comfortable again in a new job, I will start to feel better. Have a nice day :)

You're welcome!

I just started a new job and it's taking everything in my power not to run to the nearest emergency room. I've been having bad anxiety and panic attacks constantly for the last two days. I'm exhausted, I'm scared and I almost lost it driving to work today. I keep praying for deliverance. My life isn't bad either but I know people are tired of this anxiety, panic and depression that I am going through. Have a great rest of your day!

Oh my, be strong every second and just remember to "breathe". What you are saying is what I am fearing. But I will remind both of us that we can get through it. One step at a time. Keep in mind something that you are looking forward to doing or watching or buying, lol, I have been addicted to"the walking dead" great show with great acting, special effects, story. Or I try to remember not to think sooooooo much, and just live life. Music also helps. Hope this helps you.

I think about my boys all the time and that is what keeps me going. Thank you so much and music does help! Blessings to you!

Hi. I am new to this. I was hit with a virus over a month ago that had very similar symptoms to anxiety. I got told by the doctor that I was suffering from anxiety and that the tremors, pounding heart, dizziness and reluctance to go out of the house was all in my mind. I was prescribed beta blockers, that didn't work for anxiety at all. It did slow my heart rate down, which does make you feel less anxious. You need to believe in yourself and your own ability. You are in control. The more you read about anxiety on the Internet, the more it makes you paranoid. The next time you feel 'okay' then just go out! Break the cycle. Be strong and just go out-not to somewhere that matters or will make you feel 'trapped'. Little by little, you will start to feel 'normal'. It will feel less weird doing the things that you always used to take for granted. Take it minute by minutd and day by day until it's all like second nature again. It's retraining yourself but does not take long. Stop thinking too much and too hard. You are who you are. Give u yourself a break. We are a long time dead. Please enjoy yourself and put your feelings in perspective. It's too much thinking. Seaze the day little by little. Look and observe people. Sit sndu people watch-no one is perfect. Love life and love yourself.

I just recently realized that I have been having symptoms for years. I have the same sleep issues. A friend of mine have been having it for 10 years at least. Unfortunately the only help I am able to offer is that we have it in common. For me a sunny day helps. My goal is to move somewhere it's sunny more days.
