Heart anxiety

I cannot do this my heart rate has been rapid for days and I just think it’s going to stop or I’m going to have a heart attack I’m so scared

Are you taking anything? The doc has prescribed me with propranolol and it lowers your heart rate and calms you down

No my grandma keeps telling me I’m fine I’m so scared I just by to go to my doctors I don’t sleep at night because of my heart

It is worth speaking to your doctor. Just having a chat with them might help ease your anxieties trust me I’m going through similar right now except with me it’s my appetite. I’ve struggled to eat for 10 days now.

I’ve just spoken to my doctor and it had helped. He prescribed me more propranolol and an anti sickness tablet.

Yes I just called it’s not hours but he did nd emergency thing so he can call me back right away I’m scared I really damaged my Heart I struggled with not eating at first nd lost so much weight now I gained 12 pounds from eating to much

Call your GP. I know it’s scary cause you don’t want to know if something is wrong. But it’s probably your anxiety making you feel that way. It’s hard to believe I know. I can’t believe that all of my symptoms such as lack of appetite are down to anxiety but you have to make that first step and get yourself checked out. I’m terrified of what they might find too but I’ve got to the point where i’d rather know if something is wrong so it can be dealt with or know that everything is fine and I can get over this latest health anxiety craze i’m going through.

Hey I was just at the doctors my doctor said heartbeat sounds good but he did schedule me for ekg so now I have to go get that done my BP was 101

I’ve been same love waking me up in the night shaking all inside too I’m on citalopram been on it 5 weeks and things seem to be getting a bit better xx

Ask you Dr to put you on a beta blocker like atenolol is used off label for anxiety. It’s a great medication to slow your heart rate to normal. People take it as need as well that have stage fright. I’m on it for a fast heart rate as well had I have been for 10 years.

Thankyou , can I get off it once it slowed or do I have to stay on it ?

I’ve stayed on because part of anxiety for some people is fast heart rate. My heart rate averaged 110 while at rest just from being anxious. You’ll take a low dose and it’s a very safe medication. It stops your adrenaline that increases your heart rate.
