Do you have any form of medication taking anxiety? Does taking medications ever make you inadvertently try to resist the therapy? I’m only asking to be sure your’re not letting anxiety of taking another med that may possibly fail you and not giving this a chance to work.

The other thought is you could be resistant to certain medications such as antidepressants or antidepressants in a certain class.

Three weeks is way to long to struggle with sleep and eating, please call your doctor.

Hi,

Every medication prescribed will react differently in a different body. If you don't get on with it after 3-4 weeks consult the doctor for the pros and cons of staying on Mirtazapine.

Some people can be "treatment resistant". I don't know how many others you have tried and from what classes of drugs.

I take Mirtazapine at night and Venlafaxine in the morning. I might say this unusual combination is from a psychiatrist.

If the sleep issue persists, I have taken Temazepam at night for a week to get some sleep.

Warning : Polypharmacy is and should be reserved for specialist prescriber.

Sorry for been in this situation.

I did start this medication 3 weeks ago and the first week was no where near to make me feel good about this medication.

The sec week was worst - all kind of side effects.

I stoped it for 3 days and I am back again.

Some of the crazy side effects are gone except the shaking of my body one hour after you take it .

Give a try one more week and see if it start doing anything good on you .

It takes 4-6 weeks they saying.

Hope you get better .

Good luck

Hey Bela64, stick with it , I felt the same at the beginning but by the 4th week it worked after they increased it to 45mg at night. I get a really good nights sleep these days and am grateful to have mertazipine when I’m going to bed 👍🏼
