I feel so detached from reality and scared. is this anxiety or psycosis? I don’t wanna go crazy. 😭 my body feels so calm but my mind is obsessing over ruminating thoughts. Nothing feels real but the fear.
Psycosis: I feel so detached from reality... - Anxiety Support
Psycosis

Try some deep breathing
I had this after i had my baby. Unfortunately it could be both. The doctors where i live don't seem too familiar with psychosis after pregnancy. Everything is contributed to anxiety. I hope you get better because i have been miserable ever since i had my daughter 7 months ago and I'm taking meds for it. It helps some.
I would recommend letting all the thoughts in. Don’t fight them. Think them without trying to define them or rate them or anything. Just let them in over and over again. Until eventually they stop coming in.
Your nerves are damaged. So the obsessive thoughts are just another symptom. You need to retrain your brain and body that the thoughts aren’t helping. The way you do that is by doing nothing. Do absolutely nothing. They are just thoughts. A normal by product of stress, anxiety and depression. Eventually your brain will stop.
I’ve had every symptom under the sun. De realization, numbness all over my body, chest pain, breathing, dizziness, sweats, chills, you name it. But once I let go, and started to do the opposite things changed. Live your life and just bring all the symptoms with you. Don’t try to feel better. Let your body heal on its own. The strength doesn’t come in fighting anxiety, it comes by doing nothing. Face, accept, float, and let time pass.
Again just my experience with all this shit. We can be our worst enemy if we try and fight everything. Good luck. You have the strength.
A small book. At Last a Life by Paul David says the same. Live your life along with all the crazy symptoms. These symptoms come from frazzled nerves & a tired brain.
Force yourself to leave the house & start doing everyday chores & errands. As you start to do more normal things, anxiety lessens. Don’t fight it, live along side it . The more normal things you do the less time you have for your anxiety.
Then as you go about your life, the anxiety starts to shrink & you start to have longer periods of a normal life !!
