Where do you feel your anxiety?

You feel it inside of you. So maybe it’s a part of you, so just consider that. And the next time you feel panic come on- look it in the eye and ask it what it’s doing.

Look it in the eye? That’s terrifying.

“I have a hunch you’ve faced worse. Haven’t you? I get a sense you’ve been through a great deal, and you’ve survived. So what is it exactly that you’re afraid of?”

I just heard this on a show I’m watching. It’s scary how real it was and I even shed a tear. I thought I’d share. :)

Thanks for sharing that thought anon. So what is it that we are afraid of??

The answer is the thought which is a lie which ups the adrenaline which brings

on physical symptoms. There doesn't have to be a real reason for anxiety to

appear. Fear is a way for our bodies to protect us. Somewhere along the way,

we learned to believe everything our mind tells us. Not using rational judgment.

When we don't Accept anxiety for what it is, it controls us and takes over our

reactions. Sorry anon, I got carried away. But you know what I'm saying.. :) xx

So so true. How is it so easy to train the brain into negative thinking but so difficult turning it back around?

I get carried away daily. I post here more than social media. :p

Hey how are you? Thanks much. Happy Friday to you also.

This sounds like an episode from Netflix's 13 Reasons Why? The therapist asked the character Clay to do the same thing.

It might not be the same show, but I felt tingles when the therapist was talking about how to approach his snxiety, was kinda like getting a free session on TV. 😊

Yes it was. :) I felt like I was getting a free session also. It has me wondering if therapy is really the same.. I’d like to try it some day.

Thank you. You made me think of physical and mental issues that have healed, even with extreme pain involved. If I think of these past healings and I shift my severe anxiety to these past healings it makes my anxiety lessen just a bit. You need to tap into past strength and grab some of that strength. For the here and now. I'm going to try and use this as best as I can.
