SO UPSET!!

just got home from LabCorp where I had to have blood work done routine.

There was several people waiting in the lobby when I got there some with a mask some without. I had one on. The lady in front of me was on oxygen and DID HAVE ON A MASK..she checked in on the machine that you have to touch to choose your answers.

She turned around and said loudly i am sorry it took so long and i said no worries. I checked in cleaned my hands with the sanitizer and went to have a seat. The lady in her 60s i would say went to the desk and said...I am here to see if i am still positive for covid-19.

That her doctor sent her there for the swab test. Which they dont do!!

The personel freaked! Immediately took all of those in the lobby to separate rooms. The one who had waited on her took my blood. The other nurse was on the phone inquiring what should be done and the situation. I am a nervous wreck!!!! I am PISSED OFF. SHE WAS SENT THERE BY HER DOCTOR!! 9 SIGNS ON THE DOOR SAY DO NOT ENTER IF YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED. I AM SO MAD I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

Yea, I would be mad too.

As Lily recommends, I would relay all this to my GP.

In the time being, avoid contact with your partner or family members, to be safe.

I can only imagine how mad you must be feeling this was totally irresponsible and I would certainly be putting a complaint in !

Think positive though

You had a mask on , you sanitised your hands , the length of time you were near them and they did not cough etc in your direction so I would say you will be fine

Also all we can do is protect ourselves when out because the thing with this awful virus is that people can have it and not know they do or not be showing any symptoms

I would though check with my Doctor or a help line and see what they say but thank goodness you followed the correct procedure , wish everyone else would !

I would self isolate for your own peace of mind you did everything right but obvious the lady with COVID hasn’t... this is why it’s still spreading because of incidents like this... you have a right to feel the way you do I’d be the same
