Has anyone felt their heart just beating hard or pounding for a while...at a normal rate, not fast or slow. And then sometimes feel suddenly anxious? I've been to the cardiologist and er more times than I can count and everything is always normal with me.

Yes definitely! I think you might be referring to what’s called heart palpitations - when you can physically feel/sense your heart beating.
This always happens to me whenever I feel like on a verge of a panic attack or when my anxiety levels increase.
I’m glad you’ve been to see the doctor about it and everything has come back normal as this is reassuring.
Don’t worry too much it’s a common symptom of anxiety.
If you feel like you don’t want to feel these sensations, ask ur gp if they can prescribe you what’s called a beta blocker - unless you are asthmatic.
A beta blocker will help reduce the workload on the heart during high anxiety times and therefore you won’t feel the pounding sensations.

Yeah I suffer with this alot mine is always pounding and i always think something is wrong with my heart so then i panic n go into a panic attack which makes it worse ive had mine checked many of times and always normal its so frustrating. Dunno if mine is down to my hormoans as wel
