im new, confused re gaps between drugs

Hey, I'm new here...

My anxieties have gone through the roof and beyond... I cant function at all.... called the dr in desperation and got given 2mg diazepam.

It helped sort of in the moment but then I was gone again. just the most awful panic attacks that I cant come down from, hypervigilant inbetween, cant sleep, eat anything.

so the dr gave me 50mg sertraline, and upped the diazepam to 5mg. my question is do I need a gap between taking them?... im trying to keep my diazepam levels evenish (3 tabs in 24 hrs dnt really cut it) but im unsure how long to leave the sertraline after taking diazepam.

id really appreciate some guidance because all this worry bout drugs isn't helping...…

if this is on the wrong page....im sorry im not really good on computers :/

thanku <3

You are on the right page.

Meds are tough, if they are new for you the md really needs to guide you with the best way to spread them out.

Then once you see your response to them you get a better picture of how they work for you.

For example you don't want to be tired during productive hours of the day so may need to make adjustments.

Meds in the beginning are going to make you feel different as your body adjusts to the chemical.

Keep in communication with your MD and let them know how you feel. Together you can come up with a plan that works best for you.

Best of luck and stay safe

Thats great. Sleep is so important.

For me with the meds I've found I've had to juggle based on how I feel. Then I settle into a routine.

Don't forget you can always ask your pharmacist when in doubt.

I hope the meds help you. It's so good to have balance back in our lives if they work for us.

yeah Im just learning it all and when I start panicking, I question EVERYTHING, with a panic head :/ Meds was the last thing I wanted, but sometimes.....

it was a no brainer :(

I believe I have ADHD too so my brain literally goes at 1000 miles per hour.... the meds are making that slow down a bit an it feels so good!

Hoping I'll be back on track real soon :) xx

That's awesome to hear. I never thought I would be on meds either. But, I had to do it for quality of life. I also do therapy.

It's a different journey for all of us. We each need to do what works so we can find some stability.

I'm glad you are having positive results.

Wow, I take 1mg clonazepam and it works fine for me. I’m not a medical professional, but it sounds like you may be getting too much of a good thing.
