Help! i really am struggling to get out of the house again. Being outside feels so uncomfortable and makes me feel so disorientated and anxious. All i can think about is going home and how quickly it is to get home. I try and get out everyday but lately my comfort zone is getting smaller and smaller. I avoid a lot of roads because i get anxious waiting at the lights etc..
Can anyone share any tips or tricks or small goals maybe that might help?
Cheers x

We're supposed to be staying at home anyway. It's a good time for me to be agoraphobic. Grocery shopping. Pharmacy. Doctor. There's no reason to be out anywhere else. Except for a bike ride or walk. If I can manage that. Sorry I don't have any tips. Or tricks. I just put one foot in front of the other and do the best I can with what I have. I try to accept the discomfort and do what I have to do. Good luck.
I feel it! I have a hard time sitting at lights!! I try my hardest to avoid busy streets at cost! Staying home isn't a bad idea right now, as we need too. Baby steps, go for a short walk with headphones. I'm here if you need to chat ❤
hi my mum was agoraphobic for many years she even struggled finding her way about our village she lived in for over 30 years.one thing she did like was being out in the garden soaking up the fresh air and sunshine.setting yourself little targets once a week is a good way forward as well.
Hello
I am agoraphobic and have been nearly 18 years
My advice would be I know the fear but don't let it get to the stage where I am at
I wish someone had pushed me out my comfort zone to stop what has happened to me so if I was in your position now I would say set a goal that when you go out the things you struggle with the most you face them , think of me stuck in all these years and tell yourself you need to do it or this could be your life and I would not wish it on anyone
i know how you feel sitting at lights freaks me out i start fidgeting i go to work everyday because i have to but can't wait to get home never stop anywhere just go straight home and then stay there. of course now with this craziness it's easier to not go anywhere LOL!!!! but i do like going outside in my own yard and sit and have coffee or just feel the wind on my face it's my comfort zone i guess i wasn't always like this it just happened out of the blue and sometimes i wonder what caused all this fear
You are doing so well and managing to go to work you should feel so proud
Maybe for now not overthinking to much why but accepting this is how you feel and when everything comes back to normal in this world which I hope is very soon you could look at some therapy to help you with this
