Mirtazapine , 45mg Cold turkey

So, I have been on mirtazapine for 3 years for anxiety that causes irregular hear rythems. Noticed the past year that I have been feeling very unwell . Palpitations are bad, body aches, sudden drop in blood pressure , almost every other medication I couldn’t take , like ibuprofen , paracetamol , and even co cocodamol rarely . So 7 days ago , I went coke turkey from 45mgs of Mirtazapine . Let me say this , I know it’s early days, but all my bad symptoms went away , I feel great. I don’t know if I am still gonna get withdraws , but I have come off of other anti depressants / anxiety meds before, and I admit, the side effects were nasty , but nothing I couldn’t handle . I will admit, I am the burly type of man, and I really do think that “ what don’t kill me makes me stronger “ . My heart does go out to people struggling to come off of meds. But I wanna be the person in the comment section who came off cold turkey and is doing really good. And show people it can be done. What I also think helped me, was drinking 4 litres of water a day, drinking green tea, using pro biotics , Apple cider vinegar, magnesium glysinate , and a mixed supplement of something called live pro. I also take turmeric extract in high doses. So I really do think that the water and my supplements have helped. So much . Also I use berocca , it gives you a very high dose of vitamin c , very good for the immune system . Hope this helps guys. Ask me anything and I’ll try and help

Hi Ryan I'm trying to come off mirtazapine been on 15 mg for 8 weeks but really worried after reading all the horror withdrawal stories. You said 7 days in all good did that remain all good or did u get any bad withdrawal experience as time progressed?

No , the withdraws were not bad at all , you’ll be ok . I’ve been on other meds previous that were much worse coming off

Cheers its just u read lots of horror stories on here. Everyone mentions insomnia being really bad, that's what scares me as in my case insomnia equalls really bad anxiety.
