Palpitations
Take deep breaths in through your nose, out through your mouth. Do this several times, and try to relax.
I get them too, it's actually my main symptom, despite being told all my tests came back normal.
I quit smoking cold turkey 11 months ago, and have lived in an anxiety torture chamber since.
Before the dr. put me on maintenance medication, I'd scurry to his office and/or the e.r. at least twice a month bc my heart rate would be up 120-130, then my brain would go into hyperdrive and make it worse!
Deep breathing does seem to help. Hope you are feeling better!
For me, sometimes just chatting helps a lot.
Thank you !!!! Chatting on here does help allot and I love to talk about these things with other people who understand!!!
Hi Kate. I know it can be so scarey &I have a pacemaker & also chronic kidney failure + osteoporosis, can imagine the state I get into, but this site can be so helpful especially having someone to talk too. Which I don’t as I’m housebound other than my hospital visits so be strong keep deep breathing helps. Keep well & safe .Peggy x
No you are definitely not alone they are such a common symptom of anxiety
You are most probably getting them as you are anticipating them and scared of them
Please please look at Dr Claire Weeks videos on YouTube
Let them come and don't give them any attention in time they will go
Take care of yourself
