Human beings don't need to eat every 2 hours to be fine and healthy, in fact this could be very unhealthy as it can make you fat! The standard advice for optimum health is to eat 3 meals a day, spaced 4/5 hours apart, and healthy snacks ie a piece of fruit if you are a bit peckish in between.

Some people prefer to graze and have more smaller meals. If you prefer this then I can't see the harm in it.

What's to stop you taking a piece of fruit with you when you go out and some chewing gum or something?

Agree with hypercat54. Bring healthy snacks with you. You don't need to stay in to eat the way you choose to eat.

Mariadeart I know exactly how you feel. I feel anxious and check when the last time it was that I ate. I feel like if I dont eat, my blood sugar is going to drop (I am not diabetic) and I will faint and die or something like that. Like the others said. I usually try to snack on something or have more but smaller meals (now, before I ate and I gained weight!) Something I have been looking into is how sugar correlates to how I am feeling. For example, I try to have less bbq sauce, not as much bread, only 1 cup of juice a day(I don't drink soda) because certain foods, like pastas and bread all turn into sugar and make your blood sugar spike (especially candy like snickers) and then they drop drastically which makes you feel more anxious, in turn it makes your liver release a hormone that tells your body to store the fat which leads to insulin resistance, which in turn makes you want to eat more often and have more sweets. I've noticed that when I eat more balanced meals and healthier snacks (I havent had chips or cookies or candy, well yesterday had 1 cookie and 1 piece of candy because I was with my daughter) I don't feel that as often as I did before. Now everything has sugar but natural sugar is always better like in fruits. Good luck.

Yes. I do. But doesn't it make you feel a little better knowing others feel the same and you really aren't that crazy after all lol

Are you taking any antidepressant?

No. I took something for 5nmoths I think it wa as a mood stabilizer called divalprolex or something but then I couldn't hear myself talk ot think it was weird and my doctor said to stop taking them then a few years after I tried to take zoloft (once) took it like 2 days. I decided that was not for me. I will deal with it and find ways naturally to deal with it (like prayer, and other techniques) than to be on meds. I have taken xanax and it helped but my doctor won't give me any because he said he doesnt want me addicted. He gave me ativan (only 10) for emergency or when I traveled but I never taken one. But knowing i have them with me if i feel too out of it helps a lot.
