lets get back to basics

As someone who has been part of this forum for quite a few years, I have noticed that the focus of the forum has shifted from discussing how to identity physical symptoms as anxiety( and how to manage them), , TO general complaining, asking about meds , if they are " good" or questions about " anxiety" before taking a test in a highschool

I've been here for less than a year. But, isn't asking about test anxiety and how to deal with it similar to what you are saying should be posted?

What were the original roots?

test anxiety in high school students needs to be met with face to face relationships that they develop with their school teachers, guidance counselors, and parents.

I agree, but therapy and counseling doesnt work for some people.

I have noticed that there are increasingly younger members here worrying about school or college. Is this what you mean? x

Where does it say that identifying physical symptoms of anxiety is the sole purpose of this support group?

The purpose of this group is to support one another. Some people won't have many people in their life that understand their anxiety and some people won't have anyone who understands.

People using this forum should feel completely comfortable asking the questions they need answers to, for all you know, you could be greatly helping someone or giving them the advice they need to start making the first step in battling with their anxiety/depression.

For anyone reading this who is maybe new to the forum, you can ask whatever you want, vent, ask for advice or just look to get involved in a community that aims to understand one another in being able to deal with anxiety and depression.

Got to say I agree. This is a SAFE place to exchange info too, especially during crisis. Part of management is learning how to cope. Though the medication questions should stay with the professionals and advice from peers have the disclaimer as such.
